To take drone videos or aerial photos in a port area or offshore need flying experience and the right drones. Aeriallive Productions has extensive experience in drone shooting in port areas and aboard ships. To fly a drone over a port area, the operator must have at least a SPECIFIC permit.

Professional Drones

We shoot drone footage with a DJI Inspire 2 with X7 camera or a DJI Mavic 3. The Inspire 2 is DJI’s professional flagship and produces images up to 6K ProRes RAW. On days when the wind is strong or when filming from a sailing ship is required, the DJI Mavic 3 is an excellent alternative.

Telephoto lenses for remote detail
The big advantage of the Inspire 2 is the ability to shoot with telephoto lenses. This allows us to still visualize details of a project at a safe distance.

Operational drone team

Our drone pilots are not only good at flying drones safely, they are also strong at creating unique drone images. Our drone team consists of experienced pilots and camera operators. We work with short lines and ensure pleasant cooperation.

Safety

Our team knows that a safe working environment in a port area or offshore is essential. We always come with a decent PPE kit and have the means to cordon off spots and can deploy warning lights.
Sometimes additional mitigation measures are needed. Consider flying near oil tankers or factories where chemicals are manufactured. Our team will prepare an escape plan and risk analysis in advance and carefully review the results with the safety manager.

Consent territory

If taking off on territory of a port authority such as Port of Rotterdam or North Sea Port, permission from the harbor master is required. Together with our experienced, certified drone pilots, we create a flight plan and arrange permission.
